We are currently looking for a Legal Counsel for contributing to legal activities and deliverables, communicating organisational policies, legal rights, obligations and privileges to provide technical input ensuring compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Legal, Singapore.

Typically may include:
- Provide legal advice and support to business functions (including property development, real estate, retail, investment management and property management) in transactions and operations in Singapore.- Analyse, review, research and evaluate legal documents/tenders and requirements to provide solutions for legal problems and potential risks, and develop and implement alternative solutions.- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and documentation - such as MOUs, joint venture documentation and transactional documentation (e.g. sale and purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements, financing documentations, development management agreements, services agreements, etc).- Maintain current knowledge on legal developments, disseminating updates to provide current legal advice and counsel on technical and procedural issues.- Ensure compliance with regional and country procedures and policies.- Maintain internal and external relationships which may include contracted external consultants- Support the initiatives undertaken by the legal department such as contribution to legal training materials; updating legal document templates.

To be a success in this role it is desirable, but not essential to have;- Singapore qualified with post qualification experience of at least 6 years.- Prior experience in corporate (including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures), real estate, fund management and development/construction in the real estate industry with a major law firm or in-house with a MNC would be an advantage.- Good interpersonal, problem solving, technical and analytical skills.- Possess good commercial acumen, and able to provide in depth analysis of legal issues which impacts the business in a clear and concise manner- Agility in adapting to changes and ability to consider issues from perspectives other than legal- Ability to work independently or as a team player and under pressure- Ability to manage various stakeholders- Possess excellent written and communication skills
