Working within the People Group (Commercial & International) unit, the Senior People Manager - Asia acts the strategic HR business partner to all Business Units across the Qantas Group present in Asia, working closely with senior business leaders including Executive Managers and Heads of departments. This position leads and implements People plans, initiatives, programs and procedures at a senior level across large and/or multiple business units, covering a broad portfolio and delivering high strategic advice and support.

In addition, this role is accountable for ensuring regulatory compliance in market pertaining to employees, ongoing management and review of employee compensation & benefits and leading union engagement and negotiation.

You’ll have
- Demonstrated ability to strategically partner at a senior level with leadership teams in a large, complex organisation
- Experience being a strategic thinker and developing and implementing people plans
- Proven ability managing change and building organisational capability
- Strong stakeholder management experience with the ability to influence senior leaders
- Highly developed business and commercial acumen and the ability to effectively use HR data and analytics to drive people solutions
- People leadership skills with the ability to successfully lead a team
- Proven interpersonal and relationship development skills
- Drive to succeed, be self-motivated and able to work independently with limited direction or guidance
- Broad understanding of the full range of people functions
