**Database Team Lead - Oracle and MSSQL**

**Working Hours: Mon to Fri, Office Hours**

**Working Location: Central**
- Database Management:

- Oversee the day-to-day management and administration of the organization's database environment.
- Ensure the availability, security, and performance of all Oracle and MSSQL databases.
- Coordinate with the team to handle database installations, configurations, upgrades, and patching.
- Develop and enforce best practices for database administration, including backup and recovery strategies.
- Monitor database performance and proactively identify and address issues to optimize system performance.
- Team Leadership:

- Lead a team of database administrators and provide guidance, mentoring, and support.
- Assign tasks and projects to team members, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Identify training needs and provide training opportunities to enhance team members' skills.
- Project Management:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into database solutions.
- Participate in project planning, estimation, and resource allocation.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of database solutions into existing systems.
- Decommissioning Oracle:

- Develop and execute a plan for the decommissioning of Oracle databases by the end of the year.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with the decommissioning process.
- MSSQL Administration:

- Provide expert-level administration and support for MSSQL databases, which constitute the majority of our server infrastructure.
- Perform database installations, configurations, upgrades, and migrations.
- Monitor and optimize MSSQL database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive measures.

Ensure the security and integrity of MSSQL databases by implementing appropriate access controls and security measures.
