With a global presence in over 20 countries, and backed with an award-winning research team, the Company is well-positioned as Asia’s leading financial gateway, providing well researched and in-depth analysis of financial products.You will be part of the Infrastructure Team responsible for managing CGS-CIMB databases to ensure high standards of performance as well as security and availability.Job ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent will be responsible for: Support databases operation and resolve issues related to database. Provide design, consultation, and advice on database matters. Enhance plans and improve database performance and operation efficiency. Involved in database related projects. Manage database backup & disaster recovery of database. Work on database related budget and workplan. Management of database related contracts. Explore new technology that could improve the workflow. Automation of the database work process to enhance operation efficiency. Management of database related contract and vendor. Work on any other responsibilities/tasks as assigned by the management.Job RequirementsTo thrive and be successful in this role, you must have / be: Minimum 5 years’ experience in administration of Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases. Certification in Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and above / Oracle 19c will be an advantage. Experience with Microsoft Windows and RedHat Linux operating system. Experienced in Linux scripting and Windows Powershell to automate DBA tasks including regular maintenance jobs. Experience in database patching, capacity monitoring and performance analysis. Knowledgeable in database replication and database performance optimisation. Basic understanding of TCP/IP network, DNS, LB. Experience in project management/implementation, and vendor management. Ability to work in a team as well as work under pressure with minimum supervision. Good presentation and communication skills. Good to have skillsets: MS Windows server version 2016 and 2019. Redhat Enterprise Linux version 7 and 8. Familiar with AWS Cloud is preference.
