[What the role is]

The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), a government agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry, is responsible for strategies that enhance Singapore’s position as a global centre for business, innovation, and talent. We undertake investment promotion and industry development, and work with international businesses, both foreign and local, by providing information, connection to partners and access to government incentives for their investments. Our mission is to create sustainable economic growth, with vibrant business and good job opportunities for Singapore.

About Singapore Global Network

The Singapore Global Network (SGN) is a young division under EDB and focuses on building a strong ecosystem in support of overseas family, friends and fans of Singapore (3F). SGN leads the Whole-Of-Government effort to grow our collective networks whose skills, affinity and influence could strengthen our linkages to business and talent communities, and enhance the international mindshare of Singapore as a vibrant global city and welcoming home in Asia.

[What you will be working on]

You will oversee a team of product gurus who run Day 0 to Day 2 operations in the product development lifecycle. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Overseeing the development of digital infrastructure and integration planning to support the scaling of SGN’s engagement of the 3F ecosystem
- Creating product vision and product strategy
- Developing and implementing product roadmap and feature backlog to drive user growth and user engagement
- Ensuring that solutions and features are valuable and viable from both the technical and business perspectives
- Tracking industry trends, evaluating the potential value of emerging technologies and managing partners/vendors for digital solutions required to support organisational needs
- Managing multiple stakeholders and work processes to ensure the smooth delivery and implementation of existing digital products
- Coaching a team of product managers and developers from varied backgrounds towards successful outcomes while working with the constraints of the business

[What we are looking for]
- Resourcefulness, integrity, hustle and being a good team player are must-haves. Some combination of the following would help for favourable consideration:

- Proven track record of coaching and developing others empathetically and effectively, with a focus on management by context instead of control
- Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and delivery, and working knowledge of software development methodology like AGILE
- Familiarity with data engineering, data science, machine learning, leading CRM solutions, and full stack development
- Good writing and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to go deep and quickly learn new domains, including major aspects of the business
- 10 years of relevant experience
- Singaporean
