About the Role
Role
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Consumer Analyst to join our Global Industry Research (GIR) group. This individual will be a key member of Wellington's Consumer team, and will conduct research and make recommendations on stocks in the pan-Asia consumer ecosystem, leading research insights across this opportunity set, as well as directly covering a number of important verticals in the space.
Over time, we expect the majority of GIAs to take on portfolio management responsibilities for their industry, as part of the firm's Research portfolios. This position can be based in Hong Kong or Singapore.
**Qualifications**:
- Additional qualifications and individual characteristics are likely to include:
- The highest standards of personal and professional integrity and ethics
- A minimum of 10 years' relevant investment research experience
- Demonstrable knowledge of the consumer sector and companies within it
- Strong academic background, ideally including a CFA and/or MBA
- History of professional achievement
- Portfolio management experience is preferred
