Facilities Manager

**Overview**:We’re looking for a Facilities Manager who sees beyond “operations” to imagine how a venue itself can be part of the experience. You’ll ensure our spaces run seamlessly, but also set the standard for what a world-class creative hub should feel like: safe, sustainable, and effortlessly inspiring. This is more than managing a building — it’s about shaping the environment that powers IMBA’s bold ideas.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Facilities Operations & Maintenance**
- Oversee daily venue operations, including utilities, HVAC, lighting, security, and cleanliness.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for theatre equipment and building systems.
- Ensure timely response to breakdowns, repairs, and safety hazards.
- Manage asset inventory and equipment lifecycle (e.g. AV systems, seating, staging).
**Venue Readiness & Event Support**
- Coordinate facilities setup and teardown for performances, exhibitions, and external bookings.
- Ensure backstage, front-of-house, and visitor areas meet operational standards.
- Support technical and production teams with facilities needs during events.
**Health, Safety & Compliance**
- Ensure compliance with Singapore regulations (BCA, SCDF, MOM) relating to workplace and public safety.
- Conduct routine inspections and risk assessments (fire safety, emergency exits, accessibility).
- Maintain WSH documentation, safety audits, and incident reports.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and procedures.
**Vendor & Contractor Management**
- Source, negotiate, and manage external vendors for cleaning, security, repairs, and maintenance.
- Review and track service contracts, ensuring cost efficiency and SLA adherence.
- Manage contractors’ compliance with safety protocols while on-site.
**Budgeting & Cost Control**
- Prepare and manage the annual facilities budget (maintenance, utilities, contractors).
- Track and report on cost efficiency, ensuring alignment with IMBA’s startup-stage resource discipline.
- Identify opportunities for sustainability and energy savings.
**Strategic Facilities Planning**
- Work with IMBA leadership on space optimisation and future venue enhancements.
- Support planning of renovations, refurbishments, and technical upgrades.
- Develop SOPs for long-term facilities operations and scaling across future IMBA sites.
**Preferred Attributes**:
- Strong knowledge of building management systems (BMS) and safety regulations.
- Problem-solving and crisis management skills.
- Vendor negotiation and contract management.
- Budget management and cost efficiency mindset.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, event-driven environments.
