About the Role

The Technology Sales Support Associate Director is part of the APAC Presales team. The objective of this role is to address the functional needs and requirements of potential clients ultimately resulting in a sale of the Wolters Kluwer Finance, Risk and Compliance solutions and services.

You will work closely with the Sales team and other Pre-Sales members, where you provide domain expertise, product knowledge and industry experience to deliver a tailored sales experience to the customer.

Functional topics range from:

- Risk: ALM, FTP, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, Basel II/III/IV, Credit Risk, Economic Capital, etc.
- Finance: IFRS 9, Accounting, Cost Allocation, Consolidation
- Regulatory Reporting: Regulatory requirements imposed by local regulators within countries in the APAC region (MAS, BOT, BNM, BSP, OJK, etc.)

Your responsibilities:

- Via direct communication with current and prospective clients, collaborate with the sales executives to gain an in-depth understanding of customers' requirements, analyze these requirements, and provide the solution with the best fit
- Deliver presentations, product demonstrations and workshops to clients
- Prepare proposals and answer questions and requirements found in Request for Information/Proposal (RFI/RFP) documents
- Configure and maintain demo environments by ensuring latest product features and functionalities are available and in good working condition
- Participate in roadshows, industry events, conferences, and seminars
- Provide feedback to product management on customers' needs and contribute to prototyping products

Qualifications and Skill Set
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- At least 4 years of direct experience in the financial services industry
- At least 2 years of experience with direct client facing engagements
- Domain knowledge and expertise in at least one or more of the following areas: Financial Risk - ALM, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, FTP, Credit Risk, Basel II/III/IV; Finance - IFRS 9, Accounting (GL/SL); Regulatory reporting - MAS, BOT, BSP, OJK, BNM etc.
- Hands-on experience in using and setting up software tools for financial process automation
- Hands-on experience working with RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
- Strong commercial awareness, excellent client facing and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage with and present to C-level management with ease and confidence
- Willingness to travel within APAC region, particularly South-East Asia
- Outstanding communication skills
- Fluent in English - speaking, reading, and writing. Additional local language will be advantageous.

Desirable:

- Proven Pre-Sales industry experience
- Hands-on experience working with programming language such as Java, R, Python
- Risk or Finance certification (such as FRM, PRM, CFA) or post-graduate in Finance, Banking or Risk Management, relevant certifications
- Strong thought-leadership skills
- Ability to do campaigning activities
