Project Estimator

Responsible for estimating and preparing competitive bids for new projects as well as proposals, cost estimates, project budgets, and schedules.
- Responsible for pre and post-contract documentation to ensure proper documentation of all records.
- Identify potential financial or construction risks.
- Undertake the project administration and documentation including preparation of interim valuations, pricing, and agreement of contract variations, and other contracts such as piling contracts' administration tasks.
- Oversee, review contracts as well as identify irregularities in order to ensure compliance of contracts and the drawings;
- Understand contract provision thoroughly and advise the risk/areas of concern;
- To handle on-going project and monitor all commercial information in relation to project including labour, material and sub-contractor cost forecasting;
- Review and advise the Project Manager on the cost impact for variation of project specification;
- Source, gather, compile quotations, comparison of quotes, review of prices, selection of competitive prices and summarizing subcontractors, materials, and equipment;
- Liaise and establish rapport with consultants, project team, architects, developers, and purchaser.
- Frequently work at site due to job needs of carrying out site measurement to assist in further accurate cost estimation and cost calculation.
- Assist project manager with all work as assigned.
- Receive delivery items, sub-contractor invoices for engineers and supervisors to verify when necessary.
- Attend onsite and consultant meeting to ensure that engineering specifications, quantities in tender, construction, and shop drawings are accurately reflected in cost computations.
- Provide commercial advice to the site team about all project issues and project strategies.
- Progress monthly payments, claims, and final account settlement.
- Carry out miscellaneous tasks.
- Review and analyse company’s key performance indicators as well as map out improvement initiatives/actions for improvement.
**Requirements and skills**
- Bachelor's degree in building construction, construction management, civil engineering, or architecture.
- 3-5 years of experience in project management with Construction.
- Proven experience as construction estimator in Singapore
- Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts.
- Deep understanding of research methodology, data analysis and estimation metrics.
- Comfortable with numbers and technology.
- Good understanding of data analysis methods and KPIs
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Well-organized and reliable
- In-depth knowledge of project management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Working Location - Tuas Industrial area
