As a **Network Engineer (Preventive Maintenance)**, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the regular preventive maintenance and measures to upkeep customers’ infrastructure are running smoothly and securely. The role involves leading a team that focuses on proactive management to prevent system failures, downtime, and security risks before they occur

**What will you do?**

Team Leadership and Supervision
- **Lead and manage the preventive maintenance team**: Supervise a team of professionals who are responsible for conducting routine checks, maintenance on customer hardware and software networks and systems.
- **Set team goals and objectives**: Ensure the team is aligned with the organization's strategy and focus on preventive tasks to minimize disruptions.
- **Provide training and development**: Train team members on new tools, technologies, best practices, and industry standards for effective preventive maintenance.

Maintenance Planning and Execution
- **Develop preventive maintenance schedules**: Plan and implement regular schedules for checking and maintaining IT systems, networks, servers, hardware, and software to ensure smooth operation.
- **Monitor system health**:Regularly review system logs and metrics to identify potential issues and initiate preventive actions before problems arise.

Documentation and Reporting
- **Maintain maintenance logs**:Ensure that all preventive maintenance activities are properly documented, including actions taken, results, and future recommendations.
- **Generate reports**: Provide regular reports on the health of the systems, ongoing maintenance activities, and preventive measures to senior management.
- **Generate Preventive Maintenance documentation**: Involved and assist in P.M. documentation from projects.

Collaboration and Coordination
- **Coordinate with other departments**:Work closely with internal stakeholders and teams to ensure that maintenance efforts align to provide customer contractual deliverables.
- **Collaborate with vendors**:Manage relationships with external vendors for software or hardware maintenance, ensuring that service contracts and warranty conditions are being met.
- **Interface with other departments**:Liaise with other business units to understand their needs and ensure preventive maintenance efforts align with requirements.

Asset Management and Inventory Control
- **Oversee asset management**:Ensure that all customer assets are recorded, BOM including hardware and software, are inventoried and maintained regularly through Preventive Maintenance activity and consolidation.
- **Inventory list management**:Ensure the project Master Inventory list updated and track properly and accurately. Ensure any obsolescence equipment are recorded and informed to customers.

Continuous Improvement
- **Evaluate and improve maintenance processes**:Continuously assess and improve preventive maintenance strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce risks.
- **Adopt new tools and technologies**:Keep up with the latest advancements in IT maintenance tools, automation software, and technologies to increase effectiveness and reduce manual effort.
- Diploma / Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology related field, or IT equivalent
- Preferably 2 or more years of IT working experience
- Basic Network Security Knowledge
- Basic Server Administration Knowledge
- Certification in CCNA or any other network certifications will be value-add
- Possess initiative and disposition with a strong commitment and orientation towards results and high-quality standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think out of the box
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivator with a positive attitude and with high energy
- Customer focused
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Able to travel as required
