Student Care Facilitator

**_The After School Care Facilitators effectively creates a secure and quality care environment for primary school aged children. He/She creates a secure environment for children through enhancing trusting and respectful relationships with them. He/She enriches children’s learning of values through co-designing and implementing developmentally and culturally appropriate curricula, while effectively integrating innovative teaching and learning practices.

**Key responsibility areas**:
**Care Giving**
- Applicants are able to respond promptly, appropriately and consistently to children’s needs, cues and signals.
- Applicants are able to conduct collaboration with families or caregivers regarding the care requirements and development of the children under their care.
- Applicants are able to collect basic information of the functional needs of the child, and work within each team to execute the child's functional needs for appropriate developmental intervention.
- Applicants are able to demonstrate awareness of individuals’ and others’ assumptions with respect to cultural and other differences in order to treat each student, caregiver, team members with respect, dignity and fairness.
**Classroom Management**
- Ensure a safe and healthy physical environment for children
- Follow regulations regarding basic health, hygiene, and safety to provide a safe and healthy physical environment for children
- Adhere to procedures for handling illnesses, accidents and emergencies
- Promote healthy eating habits of children by ensuring a balanced diet
- Conduct observations and documentations of children’s learning using appropriate techniques Manage behaviors of children with support from transdisciplinary teams or collaborative team partnerships
**Stakeholder Management**
- Interact with family members or caregivers regarding the development of the children either on a daily basis or during MSCS parent-child events, promoting family involvement and engagement.
- Utilise tact, diplomacy and courtesy when interacting with team members, clients and/or stakeholders
- Escalate queries or requests to seniors and superiors Maintain good relationships with team members, clients and/or stakeholders
**Requirements**:
**Experience**:1 - 2 years of experience in similar roles preferred
**Qualifications**:Minimally ‘O’ Level. Fresh Diploma, Nitec, Higher Nitec graduates welcomed to apply. We also welcome mid-career switchers.

**Workplace Location: Hougang**
**Working Hours : 5.5days work week
The full-time contract is 5.5 working days, but the centre do not get people to work on Saturdays.
- Typically reserved for department-wide training like, e.g first aid training, but typically we conduct in the AM so as not to disrupt staffs’ Saturday, or companywide event, like fund raising activities. And if training hours cross over the working hours, OT will be paid accordingly._
