Singapore XCL WORLD ACADEMY PTE. LTD. Full time

XCL World Academy is seeking to appoint a dynamic, experienced **University and Career Guidance Counsellor.**This is a full-time contract position commencing from 1st August 2025.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Supporting and implementing a career education programme for SY Students.
- To inform and guide SY Students and parents about tertiary education options.
- Assist in daily operation of Secondary Years Division, with focus on academic and pastoral care.
- Support both divisional and school-wide strategic planning.
- Facilitate and contribute to discussions and decision making as part of the university counselling team.
- Serves as a consultant for grade level members when addressing student academic needs.
- Supporting and implementing a career education programme for Students.
- Provide students with guidance on admission to higher educational institutions.
- Provide opportunities for students to take tests of admission to higher education institutions.
- In collaboration with DP Coordinator and Director of University Counselling, actively monitor student academic performance, update student trackers using the school.
- information. System, and prepare reports as requested by the Senior Leadership Team.
- In collaboration with the Senior Management team organise and coordinate careers sessions with representatives from a range of professions.
- Develop and suggest improvements to existing school policies and procedures.

**Person Specifications**
- Undergraduate degree from a recognised university or college.
- Minimum 4 years Academic Advisor, University Admissions Counsellor or College Counsellor experience.
- Has demonstrated a track record of being a successful college counsellor/university guidance counsellor in an established international school and has experience with IB programmes and AP programs, essentially in DP program and familiarity in MYP will be an advantage.
- Competent user of platforms typically used in the admissions process.
- Demonstrates current knowledge of admissions requirements and processes for several tertiary education institutions globally.
- Demonstrates understanding of the needs of third culture/international students and goes beyond expectations in supporting student ambitions and goals.
- Goes beyond expectation in supporting student ambitions and goals.
- Is organised, proactive and solution focused. Has demonstrated the ability to work well in teams and demonstrated a positive relationship with all members of the school community.
- Salary commensurate with experience (International School) and according to the school's teaching scale.
