Senior/systems Analyst

**What the role is**

You will be joining a team of IT Infrastructure specialists taking a key role in IT Infrastructure. As part of the team, your main roles and responsibilities would include:

- Analyse existing IT systems to ensure they meet the operations requirements, provide adequate security protection and coordinate with IDTD divisions to analyse system requirements, recommend alternative technologies and improvements, lead design and review of new systems, evaluate IT projects and plan for integration.
- Establish standards for non-Corporate IT systems and network interface with WOG network
- Develop enterprise infrastructure strategy and initiatives to support Smart PUB Operations and digital transformation
- Plan and design a flexible, scalable and secured enterprise infrastructure
- Manage the designated vendor(s) and IT contracts to ensure the designated vendor(s) meet contractual service levels
- Provide infrastructure support to project teams on boarding and managing systems on Government Commercial Cloud Services
- Evaluate and recommend Cloud tools and technologies
- Perform enterprise infrastructure architecture risk and vulnerability assessment and control reviews
- Promote use of shared enterprise infrastructure to support Smart PUB and digital transformation initiatives
- Identify and setup common enterprise infrastructure and services for new Systems for interconnection, connectivity and integration
- Develop and document the proposed technical design for the integration and implementation of new infrastructure systems across PUB network.
- Maintain documentation library of standardized procedures and configurations of IT Infrastructure

**What we are looking for**

To meet the challenges of this role, you must possess the following:

- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline, preferably with 5 years of Enterprise/Application Infrastructure Architecture implementation experience
- Excellent knowledge of Government Instruction Manual policy, Policy on Application Infrastructure Architecture, Green Book standards and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of Government Instruction Manual on IT Management (IM8), AIAS, Green Book standards and compliance requirements, Singapore Government Technology Stack, Government Commercial Cloud, Government Private Cloud and Government Data Centre
- Good technical knowledge and experience with major private Technologies such as VMware vRealize, Microsoft Hyper-V, Redhat KVM, Software Defined Network etc
- Familiar with new technologies (eg microservices, cloud, DevOps), relevant architectural concepts, design principles, practices, standards and guidelines
- Ability to develop strong working knowledge of technology platforms being used in the organisation
- Wide knowledge of prevalent as well as emerging technologies and concepts, and able to gauge suitability for the organisation's business
