Programme Delivery Manager

**The Role**:
We are amid creating sustainability offerings to address these challenges via Bio, Circular and Low carbon solutions. We have significant challenges to identity & operationalize the business models that will support achieving our sustainability goals purposefully and profitably.

We need to work with our customers to achieve this. Our customers in the Chemicals sector also face this challenge and there is a clear opportunity for us to widen our proposition to our customers to help them decarbonize and to meet their customer’s needs of circular or renewable based products.

If you are passionate about commercializing new offerings, creating new business models, identifying the technical solutions to ensure these solutions can help address customers’ needs whilst bringing value to bottom-line for our shareholders and want to contribute to the energy transition. In doing so, you will also support achieving Chemicals and Products own sustainability goals.

**Where you fit in**

Reporting to the Sustainability Programme Manager, you will join a global chemicals sector team that is building and orchestrating the strategic agenda of Shell and our current and future largest chemical customers. You will support a diverse group of Programme Managers, enterprise account managers, workstream leads and to operationalise the End-to-end readiness for scaling up sustainability programme.

**What’s the role?**
- Own the C+P sustainability Program delivery tracking mechanism as the programs need close monitoring on progress to bring challenges/issues clearly for support.
- Lead Sustainability projects to deliver ambitions from ideation to mature project status.
- Driving the funnel of opportunities/milestones to drive E2E readiness programme
- Driving learnings from various customer engagements & partnerships offering for sustainable solutions to see how this can be replicated across programs/regions and value chains to fast track the commercial upscaling.
- Deliver synthesis and integrate all the external developments and competitive intel to shape them into action plan for the team is key outcome of this role
- Deliver milestones of various programs with project management skills and necessary areas like data analysis, competitive intel, project development and delivery.
- Drive IPM cadences to deliver the ultimate potential for Sustainability
- Actively support where applicable advocacy related topic in various regions to drive advocacy agenda
- Drive the Impactful Sustainability communications strategy with change manager both internally within Shell and externally with our key sustainability stakeholders for delivering the sustainability agenda for Chemicals and products. This will also focus on raising the sustainability awareness and interest level of wider C+P community.
- Interface with Regional Marketing, Plastics Circular Economy, Digital, Finance, business Process Experts, Customers, external agencies, and forums to drive/pilot new technology and ideas
- Exercising strong Project management skills, the role will also help to prepare internal recommendations and documentations for progressing of technology solutions (e.g. use of Blockchain). The role will be responsible for making sure the funnels are accurate and up to date and ensure good communication for wider stakeholders are in place working closely with Change manager.

**What we need from you**

The Programme Delivery Manager will have or be able to quickly develop a deep understanding of the chemicals sectors, clean energy solutions, industry trends, competitor offerings and the customers’ business. The role has a global remit supporting multiple programmes and initiatives to support sustainability agenda, no direct reports. Passion to drive problem solving and creating solutions space with ambiguous data and evolving space will be essential to succeed.

Furthermore, you will have:

- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering or similar fields with high numeracy. Experience as a Project integrator is a plus.
- Proven experience in preparing accurate management information, often on short notice
- Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in writing and when presenting. Experience of drafting papers for Decision Review Boards (DRBs), management updates, slide-decks.
- The ability to accommodate requests to work across multiple time zones and periods of intense activity.
- A highly self-motivated and enthusiastic attitude about contributing to a cleaner energy future completed with a keen interest in learning and personal development, demonstrated through curiosity, keeping abreast market developments and receptiveness to coaching feedback.
- Strong project management skills and a structured way of working. Comfortable operating in a semi-structured environment without formal authority.
