Job Description
- Responsible for the preparation and consolidation of materials in Japanese on a weekly basis to the Japan HQ. To maintain close communication with Japan Headquarters to provide frequent updates, reports and presentations to senior leadership teams based in Japan.
- Assist and monitor group companies' management in the Asia-Pacific region as a shareholder (group companies are in life insurance and asset management areas) through effective report tracking, meetings etc.
- Work closely with other functions and departments to ensure a consistent understanding/view of financial and insurance issues across the organisation.
- Support group companies' sales, distributions, financials, risk management, compliance, IT and HR through high level actions in identifying potential threats, developing effective sales models and assisting/reporting to the Vice President on matters for HR escalations, employee relations etc
- Working closely with NLIC in identifying new markets and prospective partners and carrying out due diligence to enter new life insurance and asset management markets
- Assist in developing and implementing Asia-Pacific strategy including expansion of regional head quarter's function.
- Market research and information gathering on life insurance and financial markets of Asia-Pacific region.
- General administration work and basic accounting
- Requirements
- A minimum requirement of a Bachelor's Degree in finance, business, economics, management or etc.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in management or team lead positions in the life insurance industry.
- Proficient in preparing presentations, reports and the ability to host and lead meetings with thecompanies head office in Japanese.
- The ability to communicate and write in business level Japanese to convey accurate analysis, and trends in reports. It will be necessary to liaise with key stakeholders in our Head Office in Japan
- Ability to strategize and come up with best practices and processes, streamline processes.
- Proficient in MS Office
