- Manage the trade compliance activities for the APAC region including export and import licensing, product classification, and importation authorizations.
- Provide guidance and requirements to Viasat personnel concerning international trade regulations
- Ensure proper use of export authorizations (licenses/agreements, exemptions, exceptions, etc.)
- Determine and document classification designation for parts, equipment, and technology
- Complete required recordkeeping
- Maintains knowledge of and stays current on regulatory changes
- Review contracts for global trade requirements Requirements

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years’ experience in regulatory trade compliance
- Strong proficiency in International trade regulations, especially for Singapore, China, Malaysia, Australia, and the United States
- Proficient in product classification both domestic and international to include export classification numbers and harmonized schedule numbers
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Demonstrates ability to manage time by consistently completing tasks by deadline
- Critical thinking and excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Effective written and oral communication
- Strong attention to detail and completion of responsibilities with a high level of accuracy
- Preferences- Experience with US trade regulations

**Additional Requirements and Information**:

- Minimum Education- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience- Years of Experience- 8-15 years- Travel- Up to 10%- Citizenship- Singapore Citizenship required- Clearance- None- Worker Classification- Employee
