A project officer position is available in the School of CEE NTU in maritime studies. We are looking for a researcher who is familiar with data analytics and big data technologies and has certain background knowledge of maritime transportation, such that the former can be applied to address the practical problems of the latter. Especially, we are looking forward to hiring a researcher with extensive experience in AIS data processing and analysis.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop state-of-the-art and innovative models and algorithms to improve port and shipping management efficiency;
- Propose solutions based on data analytics and operations research to address maritime practical problems;
- Conduct extensive numerical experiments to validate the performance of the proposed models;
- Present the research results as academic papers and reports.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor degree in transport engineering, maritime transport and management, computer science, or a related field from a good university;
- Excellent programming skills, such as Python, C++, Java, Julia, or other competent languages;
- A good record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals or conferences in maritime transport, logistics management, machine learning, deep learning, and optimization;
- Proficient in written and spoken English;
