[What the role is]

You will play a key role in shaping and management of grant schemes relevant to the tourism sector to achieve STB's desired outcomes and targets.

[What you will be working on]

You will oversee and administer STB's business grants and this includes:
(i) Ensuring grants are effectively used to achieve tourism outcomes and meet tourism industries' needs,

(ii) Ensuring policy compliance, and

(iii) Analyzing and reporting the portfolio grant performance.

Key work scope includes:

- Review existing grants schemes regularly and/or develops new grant schemes to ensure its relevance in meeting STB's strategies and the needs of tourism businesses. This includes enhancing the efficiency in the administration of these schemes.
- Oversee the administration of STB's grants. You will work with business units to provide advice on how to achieve grant outcomes, balance business needs and ensure policy compliance.
- Monitor and report the grant schemes' budget utilization and performance target achievements.
- Implement and monitor grants governance and risk management framework

You will be required to work closely with business units internally across STB. Externally, you will need to maintain good working relationship with other government agencies and various teams within Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI).

[What we are looking for]
- At least 3 years of work experience, preferably in areas of policy development and grants management (e.g. grant design, process, and policy reviews)
- Experience with business data analytics (e.g. basic analysis tools such as Excel, analysis, and recommendation of data findings)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Mathematically inclined and good with numbers
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders (both internal and external)
- Meticulous and detail-oriented
- good business acumen, analytical thinking and judgement
- Working effectively within STB to achieve results
- Working effectively with stakeholders outside STB
- Serving with heart, commitment and purpose
- Being innovative and learning continuously
