Vice President, Treasury, Liquidity Management and

**Job responsibilities**:

- Report to the Head of Department of Treasury in AGMD.
- Support the Head of Department of Treasury in AGMD manage business from creating and enforcing strategies, day-to-day operations, financials reporting, risk management, internal/external product promotion, initiatives /project management and governance stand point of view across ASEAN, South Asia and Oceania.
- Support the regional offices to comply with local regulations and internal policies assessing the impact and seeking solutions with Treasury and Investment Division in Tokyo and risk management divisions in Singapore and Tokyo.
- Strengthen the Bank’s balance sheet through support in sourcing funding solutions including but not limited to Foreign Exchange (FX), deposits, Certificates of Deposit (CD) and Bonds.
- Create budgeting and Key Progress Indicator plans and reports with regional offices across ASEAN, South Asia and Oceania.
- Understand local regulations, assessing the impact and seeking solutions to ensure Branches adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Control interest rate and liquidity risk in Asia & Oceania and collaborate with regional offices to build an effective framework for liquidity management and infrastructure.
- Support the development of the department’s strategy.
- Frequently communicate and collaborate with Treasury and Investment Division in Head Office.
- Advise management on potential financial opportunities and risks.
- Build effective relationships with colleagues across the region, Relationship Managers, Operations and Compliance/Risk to develop new business and to deliver a high quality of service to customers.
- Support Head of Department in managing the daily operations of the desk.
- Complete deal administration and report preparation.
- Control liquidity risk for minor currencies for the region’s balance sheet and pricing for Treasury Group.
- Provide competitive transfer price as well as ample liquidity in order to support customer-orientated business growth. Ensure fair and prudent benchmark rates setting.
- Contribute to projects within liquidity risk, ensuring that procedure manuals are updated for the changes.
- Support in understanding the local regulatory requirements and audit outcomes, assess and recommend a liquidity plan for the Branch to ensure alignment with all relevant regulations.
- Support in managing the risk profile for the department by understanding the regulatory changes, monitor the Branch’s liquidity and prepare recommendations to mitigate liquidity risk.
- Participate in relevant committees in the region.
- Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies / guidelines.
- Escalate to the managements any incidents and potential risks to the Treasury business.
- All of the above to be conducted in English or Japanese depending on the audience/counterparts.

**Job requirements**:

- Bachelor Degree with major in Finance or Economics or Law
- Minimum 3 years of experience in global liquidity and balance sheet management including day-to-day liquidity risk management, collateralized liquidity sourcing and global liquidity risk metrics setting.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in using money market dealing and booking system such as MTS/FXAT
- Experience in business management /planning at Multinational GSIB Bank.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence others and sell solutions.
- Experience in liquidity management and funding desk or money market instruments.
- Knowledge and Expertise in liquidity ratios and regulatory requirements including but not limited to LCR, NSFR, MLA
- Detailed understanding of the local banking regulatory environment.
- Experience collaborating with cross border teams and stakeholders
