**Roles & Responsibilities**

The Social Space is a multi-concept social enterprise that features a café and fair-trade retail all under one roof. Our main aim is to create a lifestyle space where the public can come and discover high quality and well-designed products and services, that all support a good cause and to raise awareness for socially-conscious brands in Singapore. We currently have 2 outlets at Kreta Ayer Road and Marina One.

The **Retail & Sustainability Merchandiser **will play an important role to lead the retail unit in driving sales in-stores and online, and working closely with our impact partners to create maximum social and environemental impact. The ideal person should have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and thrive in a changing environment.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Manage and promote the retail area to achieve sales goals and profitability objectives for physical outlets and online stores
- Set up and maintain proper visual merchandising displays
- Responsible for fulfilment of orders and logistic duties (ie, packing, delivery etc)
- Source for new sustainable brands/products to enhance our retail offerings
- Manage corporate gift offerings/packages and bulk orders
- Manage our 'Impact Champion' iniative to encourage vendors/partners to maximize and measure their social and environemental impact
- Recommend and execute effective social media and in-store marketing and promotion programmes to generate customer awareness and sales
- Generate and process monthly sales reports for each brand/category
- Maintain relationship and liaise with vendors to maintain stock inventory levels and sales performance
- Analyse sales data and feedback across brands/categories to identify trends and opportunities, and to assess efficacy of marketing efforts
- Improve the service standards and customers’ experiences through effective training of outlet supervisors and front-end staff at the retail outlets
- Assist with day to day operations at the physical outlets
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Passion for sustainability, and social and environmental causes
- Minimum Diploma in Business/Marketing/Retail or equivalent
- Strong analytical skills and commercial sense
- Self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and able to think out of the box
- High attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and drive results
- Team player who is resourceful, creative and great with problem solving
- Able to work with mínimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets and reports)
**OTHER INFORMATION**
- 5-day work week, including one weekend
- Must be prepared to work overtime, if required, during peak periods
- Starting salary will depend on experience
