**Team Summary**

**What a Sr. Consultant, Data Science does at Visa**:

- Focus on key data and AI deals and accounts for opportunity origination, qualification, and solution architecture
- Lead pre-sales and engage clients including business leaders and teams to comprehensively explain relevance of global data and AI solutions to client's needs
- Extract and understand data to form an opinion on how to best help our clients derive relevant insights
- Enhance existing AI/ML techniques by promoting new methodology and best practices in analytics field
- Partner with a variety of Visa teams to provide comprehensive data solutions
- Implement data solutions, on premises and cloud, integrating and extracting data from a variety of data-sources

The purpose of the team is to help Visa’s clients grow their business and solve problems by providing consulting services through the use of data.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

**Qualifications**:
**What you will need**:

- 10+ years experience building end-to-end analytical systems as a Consultant, Data Scientist, or ML Engineer (or equivalent)
- Master’s degree in an analytical field such as computer science, data engineering, data science, econometrics, or similar (PhD is a plus)
- Experience leading the development of new data prototypes, solutions, and architectures for clients
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical internal and external stakeholders
- Experience developing machine learning and AI solutions using Python, Go, C++, or others
- Experience with extracting and aggregating data from large data sets using Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or other tools
- Experience with data pipelines and integrating 3rd party data such as Blockchain, Social Media, Credit Scores, or others
- Experience with cloud deployment using AWS, Azure, or others
- Previous exposure to financial services, blockchain, or merchant analytics is a plus, but not required

**Projects you will be a part of**:
The nature of projects in this role will focus on creating high-performance algorithms, cutting-edge analytical techniques including machine learning and artificial intelligence, and intuitive workflows and visualizations that allow our clients to derive insights from big data that in turn drive their businesses. The Senior Data Science Consultant will also be involved in collaborating with regional data science, product, and solution teams.
- Data Science Labs: The Data Science Lab engages Visa Clients over a series of structured workshops designed to build an enduring and profitable partnership around Data Science and technology
- Data Innovation: Use creative thinking augmented by data insights from an array of payments, crypto, merchant, location, and mobile datasets to turn ideas into solutions that add value to our customers and the Visa ecosystem
- Data Partnerships: Build robust, strategic partnership rationale and narrative to support Visa’s data value creation objectives with financial institutions, retailers, governments and fintechs and their intermediaries and agents
