We are part of Grab’s engineering scale family, where we work across multiple service teams, orchestrating critical and technical aspects of the mobile apps. We are looking for a Release Manager that loves to communicate concisely, and accurately across cross functional diversified teams along with understanding of the latest mobile development technology.

**Get to know the Role**:

- Lead the mobile apps release process across all main mobile apps in Grab
- Work closely with the Product, UX/UI and Backend teams to design, build and extend consumer and/or partner facing new products, platforms and features.
- Collaborate with QA on continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) as well as other automated and manual testing to make sure our app releases are always worthy of five star ratings.
- Own the mobile apps release processes and constantly find ways of improving them in a data-driven manner.
- Evaluate new mobile methodologies and technologies.

**The Day-to-Day Activities**:

- Prepare and manage the Mobile Apps Release Trains
- Work closely with the Release Engineers and QAs to ensure the quality of the released apps
- Monitor the quality of the Release Trains and conduct retrospective when required
- Ensure Apps Submission to the stores and drive resolution of app stores’ impediments
- Continuously measure and improve the efficiency of the Release processes of our mobile apps
- Collaborate across teams to facilitate and champion the quick resolution of problems found during the Release process of our mobile apps
- Improve the reliability, stability and efficiency with which we release our apps and services by contributing to the release automation tooling
- Maintain, and streamline the Grab automated CD pipelines deployed on multiple environments

**The Must-Haves**:

- A degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience in release management and managing apps in the Play Store and App Store is required
- DevOps expertise for handling automations for app releases
- Experience in mobile app development, CD pipelines and mobile apps build systems
- Previous exposure to incident & risk management
- Understanding of Jira or other defect management tools
- Effective communication skills to handle comms to management, cross-functional teams, and a proven track record of getting things done/shipping projects
- Experience working in a dynamic fast-moving environment where autonomy and self-decision making is needed.

**The Nice-to-Haves**:

- An understanding of Agile is desirable but not essential, more important than your specific skill set is your ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to not be constrained by your job description.
- Experience with stakeholder management is preferred
