- **Responsibilities**:

- Reporting in to Group Chief Technology & Digital Office, lead the team to carry out Horizon 3 (long term) future scanning work and incubation on emerging technologies, including AI (eg. natural language generation, deep reinforcement learning, explainable AI), robotics and 5G/6G.
- Develop the H3 technology strategy and roadmaps for ST Engineering.
- Lead the team to develop game changing concepts with the eventuality to proof the concepts through ground or simulated trials.
- Present to senior management on H3 technology trends, new concepts, and potential impact to business as part of the Group Technology Office.
- Build mindshare amongst internal and external stakeholders and secure funding for H3 development.
- Work closely with ST Engineering’s Technology Offices & R&D community in recommending investments designed to help its business objectives.
- Share knowledge, influence people & drive culture changes in digital transformation journey.

**Requirements**:

- Significant experience in a similar role, likely working for a strategy, management, or technology consultancy previously and/or tech start-up in the last few years.
- Advanced degree, preferably PhD or Masters in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or any related discipline with 10 - 15 years of working experience.
- Ability to frame strategic challenges from a digital/tech perspective and build convincing user stories and relevant business cases.
- Experience in advanced technology research, strategy development and road-mapping will be advantageous.
- Ability to pick up new technologies quickly & accurately assess potential partners viability.
- Very strong communication and presentation skills.
