Assistant Engineering Manager

The Assistance Engineering Manager is responsible for monitoring and executions of the overall efficiency and other appropriate Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) equipment operations and Maintenance operations.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Plan and monitor that Preventive Maintenance program is executed.
- Manage all Third-party Term Contractors contracts maintenance schedule are executed and scope of works, term, and conditions as specified and agreed in the Service contracts.
- Monitors and controls expenses within all areas of the department.
- Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial.
- Manage the daily activities of the department. Plan and organize work, communicate goals, and schedule to ensure proper coverage.
- Analyse monthly Engineering activities to improve operating standard and minimize downtime.
- Initiate corrective and periodic maintenance to site specific requirement.
- Ensure all staff is properly trained and have tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their respective job duties.
- Educate/train employees on current safety issues to ensure compliance with statutory requirement and safety regulations.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Maintain and repair the interior and exterior of buildings, plants and equipment, guest rooms and contents.
- Establish and maintain procedures to:
Ensure the security of inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture, television etc.
Replenish supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner
To minimize waste.
- Assisting the Risk management requirements necessary to ensure that the Hotel, employees, and guests are protected against any emergency crisis outlined in the Risk Management Manual and Fire Safety.
**Knowledge, experience, skills required**
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 2 years in the hospitality industry in a managerial position
- Must have hands on knowledge of building maintenance skills, and basic knowledge of painting, drywall, HVAC and plumbing.
- Degree in a related field/or at least a Technical Diploma
- Knowledge of functions of relevant technical systems and associated equipment and operational procedures
- Good management and supervisory skills
- Self-motivated, able to function independently
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Good written and verbal communication in the English Language
- Ability to maintain and repair relevant machinery
- Able to work shifts, including weekend and Public Holiday.
**Salary**: $3,700.00 - $4,000.00 per month
**Experience**:
- Facilities maintenance: 5 years (preferred)
