**Job Overview**

This is for the role of Head of Payments and Operations at DZ BANK AG, Singapore Branch. Besides managing a small operations team and being part of the bank’s management team, the individual in this role will be responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient daily operations and compliance with regulatory requirements and management directives. In addition, the individual will be responsible for all Change activities within the Payments and Operations area ranging from functional to process and system changes.
- Lead and manage the Payments and Operations department including processing and settlement of Treasury products and remittances.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements for the department and ensure the timely implementation of new requirements.
- Communicate with external and internal stakeholders, including regulators, industry bodies, providers, colleagues in other branches and Head Office as well as the branch team
- Participate and occasionally lead the branch working stream of projects implementing new systems and upgrades to existing systems
- Coordinate with all relevant internal departments on any new products, establish processes, workflows, settlement and payments procedures
- Responsible for all payment and settlement functions incl deal processing and matching, payment processing, all investigations and queries on settlement and payments discrepancies, 1st line of defense for Payment Sanction Screening
- Responsible for several risk management activities as first line of defense for several process: ensuring that all Ops Risk Loss are reported to Risk Control, following the bank’s governance on Third Party Management, IT Assets Management, IT Security as well as internal control systems of the bank etc.
- Continuous review of all processes and systems to identify areas for continuous process improvement and efficiency
- Review of activities alongside the process chain and work with involved departments to streamline and stabilize the entire process chain

**Job Requirements**
- Recognized Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience including prior experience in leading a small team in a payments/operations department
- Have a strong understanding of financial principles, Treasury products and payment processing procedures
- Track records of successful implementation of systems and projects
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues from other Branches and Head Office
