Accounts Assistant

Job Purpose:
The Accounts Assistant is responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks for the effective processing of accounts payable transactions. The role also works closely with the Accounts Executive to support in other period closing accounting duties.
**Responsibilities**:
- Processing all supplier invoices for payment, ensuring proper documentation and authorization in accordance with the company’s procedures and policies
- Processing employee reimbursements, ensuring expenses are properly posted to the correct ledgers
- Reviewing suppliers’ accounts and following up on outstanding invoices
- Recording receipts from customers
- Updating the daily cash book for receipts and payments
- Performing month end bank reconciliations
- Assisting in preparation of monthly balance sheet schedules and analysis of accounts
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly GST reporting
- Assist in audits
- Assist in computation of intercompany back-charge billing
- Perform general filing duties, updating of Masterfile records
- Assist in updating the monthly utilization and consignment report
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- LCCI Accounting Certificate or equivalent
**Experience**:
- At least 2 years’ experience in basic accounting work
- Working experience in MS Excel and Word processing
Competency:
- Independent and able to work under pressure
- Attention to details and accuracy
- Good interpersonal skills
