Singapore Wise Full time

Since 2011, Wise has had a clear mission: money without borders. Built by and for people who live global lives, we're the fairest, easiest way to manage your money across borders.

We're just at the beginning of our story and we're growing at an incredible pace. We won't stop until anyone, anywhere can send, spend and receive money wherever they are, whatever they're doing. There's still heaps to do and we can't do it alone.

We're looking for an APAC Audit Lead to strengthen our compliance team. Based in Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, you would learn how we build trust with partners and regulators by providing insight to our business operations, helping them to understand what we do, and explain the compliance decisions we've made.

This role is located in Singapore/Kuala Lumpur.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

- Develop an in-depth knowledge of Wise's business and get to know Operational Compliance teams across the company as you liaise with them to help them understand the regulatory framework and co-ordinate gathering the information that our partners and regulators need.
- Champion compliance through audit by managing the end-to-end audit process, supporting Operational Compliance teams to showcase their work and develop your own understanding of the multiple markets we operate in across Asia / Pacific.

**A bit about you**:
You can show that you're a proactive communicator with a passion for operational efficiency, tech and the spirit of compliance, and how data can help. You should be able to demonstrate:

- An insatiable curiosity about Asia / Pacific product and processes
- An ability to write and communicate clearly about our product / processes
- A strong ability to organise, prioritise and multitask and an ability to communicate priorities effectively to others
- Fun to work with (no brainer), detail-oriented and driven
- Ability to challenge teams through sample reviews and defend processes against Auditors.
- Enjoy working across operational and product teams to fuel the revolution
- Prior Audit experience is a plus

**A bit about the role**:
The Asia / Pacific markets we operate in are constantly changing with new markets to onboard and new and updated requirements being considered and implemented.

As the APAC Audit Lead, you will work closely with APAC Compliance Officers and the various teams to champion compliance through audits from start to finish including the scoping, planning and remediation of Audit findings. Continuing to offer our customers the best experience and championing compliance with our regulatory obligations is at our core.

To achieve this, the role will focus on three areas: Building trust, Reporting and Policy support.

**Building trust** (teams, regulator, independent audits, partner reviews)
- Work closely with teams to build an understanding of the importance of establishing trust through audits and reviews and how this links to our product
- Support all aspects of external audits and reviews. Coordination of materials, anticipating possible challenges and preparation for onsite presentation
- Provide input to refine and build on existing audit / review protocol
- Track findings and work with teams to implement solutions for gaps identified proactively and post-review
- Defending our processes against auditors in line with Regulatory requirements

**Reporting**
- Liaise with our APAC and global teams to provide responses to review inquiries
- Build processes to share materials to relevant teams

**Policy support**
- Work with Compliance and operational teams to ensure consistency across regional policies and work practices
- Support teams to draft policy language that is reflective of work processes and product implementation (also useful to Wisers who enjoy reading about compliance and a helpful read for non-Wisers)
- In this role, you will work in the Singapore or Kuala Lumpur Office, and report to the Compliance Lead APAC and work closely with the APAC Compliance Officers.

**What we offer in return**:

- Competitive base salary
- Generous stock options package
- Lots of awesome Wise benefits
