The Sensitive Risk Manager will contribute to a profitable and sustainable growth of TCI and other LoB operations in minimizing losses and maximizing recoveries emanating from large, sensitive buyer risks placed with the Special Risks Unit (SRU) team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitoring, alerting and making proposals to improve the earliest possible identification of deteriorating risk or buyers at risk of default.
- Undertaking efficient and swift communication with both buyers and policyholders to ensure a consistent message supporting risk strategy implementation.
- Proactively maintaining intelligence on the market through networking, awareness of new financial/business practices, and new data/information sourcing.

Swiftly and decisively take over assigned SRU cases from mainstream RUW and evaluate all key relevant info/data for thorough and fast buyer risk assessment.
- Develop, on a case by case basis, optimal risk exposure and recovery strategies to minimize losses and maximize recoveries. Leverage best practices, lessons learned, and experience.
- Identify, advise, and implement risk mitigants based on excellent knowledge of policy conditions and recovery/debt restructuring techniques.
- Take and own the risk decision as BBU and bind the IBU, and consistently explain the strategy to get buy-in.
- Engage with Buyers, Customers and other stakeholders (legal - lawyer, Insolvency practitioner, auditors ) and develop sustainable relationships.
- Devise and execute the risk monitoring plan (review dates, actions follow up, updates ), taking care of ad-hoc reports to internal and external stakeholders, and undertaking necessary follow up actions and their execution.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent in financial analysis, including new financial structures and in Risk U/W decision taking.
- Bachelor in Finance or equivalent in experience.
- Fluency in English
- Very good knowledge and understanding of Euler Hermes products and services and able to deliver a different customer experience
- Very good knowledge of domestic and relevant international court and legal proceedings
- Strong analytical skills,critical and creative thinking
- Excellent listening skills and very strong communicator (verbal and written), adjusting the tone to the target audiences and able to deliver a difficult message
- Strong negotiator, able to influence stakeholders, resit pressure and take tough decisions.
- Flexible, adaptable, pragmatic
- Thorough, precise, firm, very well organized
- Ability to develop a network to build relations and trust
- Willing to travel on short term notice and outside of usual business hours to deal effectively with urgency and crisis situations.
