**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Designs, builds, delivers, and maintains Cloudera data platforms, other semi-structured and un-structured data platforms to meet customer requirements, and leads overall efforts in working with cross-functional teams
- Implements processes, standards, and governance of Cloudera technologies, other semi-structured and un-structured data platforms
- Evaluates industry technologies to shape design of services in consideration of cost, portability, compatibility, or usability factors
- Identifies and makes appropriate changes to technologies, integrated platforms, and systems to meet customer and operational requirements
- Monitors Cloudera, other semi-structured and un-structured data platforms to ensure required performance, availability, and capacity. Eliminates gaps in monitoring, reduces potential impact on service delivery, and proposes new key performance metrics.
- Continuously seeks to more efficiently manage and utilize technology, platforms, and systems
- Highlights design risks, provide alternative options, and recommend quality solution to specified problem.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Diploma holder or higher in Information Technology, Info Systems or equivalent.
- 7-8 yrs experience in IT, Certification in HDP / Cloudera administration and/or Certification in Solaris and RHEL administration are added advantage
- Experience in Solaris, IBM AIX, RHEL 7.x & 8.x Physical & VM administration
- Experience in working with CDP 7.x platform or equivalent platform
- Experience in troubleshooting server issues
- Knowledge of Big Data Cloud services
- Technical knowledge in Microsoft Windows Server, VMWare is an added advantage
- Clear communicator with good oral and written skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals.
- Possess good personal attributes: integrity, trust and credibility. A good listener, customer oriented, strong interpersonal skills
- Possess good learning capability and demonstrate creative thinking skills.
- Possess good analytical skills.
- Possess good troubleshooting and issue resolution capabilities.
