We are looking for a Senior Cloudera Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize enterprise-grade Cloudera Data Platform (CDP/CDH) environments. The role requires hands-on expertise in cluster management, performance tuning, security configuration, and cloud integration to ensure high availability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Cloudera clusters (HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Zookeeper).

  • Perform capacity planning, performance optimization, upgrades, and patching.

  • Implement and manage Kerberos, Ranger/Sentry, ACLs, and encryption zones for platform security.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot cluster health using Cloudera Manager, Geneos, or CloudWatch.

  • Automate administrative tasks with Shell/Python scripting and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Collaborate with data engineering, DevOps, and cloud teams to support data platform scalability and reliability.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience with Cloudera CDP/CDH administration in production environments.

  • Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), Kerberos, Ranger, and HDFS architecture.

  • Familiarity with AWS/Azure cloud integration and monitoring tools.

  • Scripting expertise in Bash/Python; experience with Jenkins/Git preferred.

Certifications Required:

  • Cloudera Essentials for CDP

  • AWS Fundamentals for CDP Public Cloud (Cloudera)
