[What the role is]
[LTA-FIN] Assistant/Deputy Manager, Collections, Receivables and Refunds
[What you will be working on]
You will be part of an exciting Finance team responsible for the prompt and accurate revenue collection for the organisation while driving process improvement in the team through the use of automation and cutting-edge technology.
Your key role is to oversee the development of a new revenue collection system and liaise with multiple internal stakeholders to ensure that all their needs are catered for in the new system. Concurrently, you will supervise 1 junior staff who will perform daily collection operations on the existing system and ensure that the collection is processed promptly and accurately reconciled.
Another key aspect of your role is to work closely with internal stakeholders to facilitate their launching of new fees and collections. This area of work requires strong interpersonal skills to guide the business teams through the fee setting process and ensure that their fee proposals meet the Government’s requirements.
Finally, you will also review our current processes and identify opportunities for process improvement. Through the use of automation technology, you will be empowered to propose ways to streamline and achieve greater efficiency in our operations.
[What we are looking for]
- Tertiary qualification in Accountancy or holder of other professional qualifications in finance (e.g. ACCA, CPA or CA)
- At least 1 year of experience in Accounts Receivable / Collection functions
- Knowledge of various finance functions such as Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable / Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting etc.
- Experience in SAP is advantageous
- Highly-driven individual who is resourceful and innovative
- Positive attitude with a strong passion to learn and contribute to the organisation
- Able to work independently and perform under pressure with tight timelines
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
