**Job Summary**:
The Head of SEA Government Relations aims at supporting PayPal’s business objectives through the development and implementation of a Government Relations strategy for South East Asia, including in Singapore where PayPal has its International HQ.

The **Head of SEA Government Relations**aims at supporting PayPal’s business objectives through the development and implementation of a Government Relations strategy for South East Asia, including in Singapore where PayPal has its International HQ. The role holder will identify the Government Relations priorities for PayPal in the SEA and define state of the art public policy positions adapted to the regional agenda, leveraging Global GR analysis and recommendations where available and drafting their own material when needed. The role will also develop a proactive engagement with the GR stakeholders that participate directly, or indirectly, to the shaping of Public Policy or are important for the growth of PayPal in the SEA. The scope of the role is Southeast Asia, with a focus on jurisdictions and stakeholders, which matter most to PayPal’s public policy agenda and markets which impact most the financial results of PayPal, today but also tomorrow. It includes payments, financial crime, digital, crypto, trade, growth or inclusion public policy matters, as relevant. The Head of SEA Government Relations is also responsible for communicating policy trends and potential impacts of government actions in the region to cross-functional internal stakeholders. The role manages one person also based in Singapore and interacts seamlessly with other GR professionals within PayPal’s GR department, especially colleagues in the region and will need to collaborate with other teams located throughout APAC, including Global Markets.

The main objectives of the role are:

- Identify emerging public policy risks, issues, and opportunities in SEA, analyze their business impact and offer remediations as appropriate;
- Develop external engagement plans for SEA and manage their implementation, including the involvement of PayPal executives where relevant;
- Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, functional and market executives, to support their priorities and advise them early;
- Build a strong and dynamic network of external stakeholders in SEA, including industry peers;
- Develop a corpus of GR position papers, briefings, consultations responses and other publications representing PayPal’s public policy leadership in SEA;
- Work closely with the APAC team led by Global Market to identify e-government opportunities in SEA and support related engagement;
- Represent PayPal at events and meetings with government officials and other external stakeholders in SEA;
