Singapore HONG LEONG ASIA LTD. Full time

Reporting to Singapore Head Office and the Head, Sustainability and Corporate Affairs, this position will be responsible to proactively manage the sustainability agenda and sustainability reporting process of HLA Group and assist to develop thought leadership insights within the industries in which it operates to ensure continuity of an effective and innovative sustainability strategy. This position is also responsible to manage the sustainability reporting process of Hong Leong Global Enterprises (HLGE), a separate listed entity managed by HLA Group.

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate with five reporting business units in Singapore, Malaysia and China to obtain data for preparation of annual Sustainability report for inclusion in the HLA Group Annual Report as well as the HLGE Annual Report based on GRI standards and SGX sustainability reporting requirements.
- Compile and consolidate data of HLA Group and HLGE in Excel worksheets (fuel, energy, health and safety data), analyse the results and obtain further information or explanation from the data owners.
- Perform sample verification of ESG data of HLA Group and HLGE to supporting documents to ensure correctness of data or info provided by owners / stakeholders.
- Prepare quarterly sustainability progress report for presentation to Audit & Risk Committee (“ARC”) of HLA Group and HLGE. (ARC assists the Board in considering sustainability issues as part of strategy formulation)
- Support HLA Group’s long-term sustainability strategic roadmap formulation and champion the necessary initiatives within key business segments.
- Be part of HLA Group’s Sustainability Committee (“SC”), responsible for identifying, evaluating, monitoring and managing ESG risks and opportunities and lead Sustainability Working Groups, responsible for assisting the SC in executing and implementing necessary ESG activities, action plans and target setting.
- Assist to support internal communication strategies to help align and motivate employees to HLA Group’s sustainability plans and objectives.
- Support the creation and implementation of external communication strategies to publicise sustainability and promote broad awareness of HLA Group’s sustainability initiatives.
- Assist to develop and update objectives, scope narratives and financial/cost evaluations in support of sustainability projects at HLA Group.
- Build relationships with internal and external partners; identify, vet, and negotiate deals with vendors and partners to provide services and partnerships in furtherance of HLA Group’s sustainability goals.

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge and experience in global environmental standards and frameworks: such as UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills (both English and Mandarin)
- Demonstrated ability to influence decision makers and stakeholders in a cross-functional, matrixed organization
- Experienced in and passionate about leadership and people management to guide, coach and build teams
- Experience in manufacturing operations (particularly built environment and/or automotive sectors) is an added advantage
- Knowledge in financial, risk management and internal control is an added advantage
- Quick and measured in decision-making, towards ensuring effective response
- Open-minded and outspoken in discussing strategies and ideation
- Respectful and helpful towards colleagues and partners
- Growth mind-set with ability to adapt to changes in their environment
