**What the role is**
- Singapore is transforming our energy sector to address climate change challenges. One way is to tap on electricity imported from regional power grids, to allow Singapore to access cleaner energy resources outside Singapore's borders. EMA will also be encouraging the adoption of demand‐side measures, so that consumers can help in the fight against climate change through more responsive and efficient energy consumption.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop energy policies and facilitate Whole-of-Government (WOG) initiatives to support the Singapore Energy Transition and achieve our objectives of net-zero emissions by 2050.
- Lead and coordinate efforts to maximise solar photovoltaic (PV) deployment in Singapore by working closely with public and private sector stakeholders, and the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS) to testbed more efficient and innovative solar PV technologies.
- Lead and coordinate efforts to assess the techno-economic feasibility of other Low-Carbon Alternatives (LCA) such as hydrogen and carbon capture utilization and storage solutions (CCUS).
- Co-lead the Energy Working Committee (EWC) with the National Climate Change Secretariat (NCCS) to drive and track the progress of WOG energy transition initiatives.
- Support the Urban Solutions and Sustainability Executive Committee (USS EXCO) and the Long-term Emissions and Mitigation Working Group (LWG) on all energy-related matters.

**Requirements**:

- Disciplines in Business, Economics or Engineering. 1-3 years of experience preferred.
- Good interpersonal, communication (i.e., written and spoken) and analytical skills.
- Independent, motivated, and able to work under tight timelines.
- Experience with policymaking, energy R&D and project management, as well as the public sector would be an advantage.
