Singapore JTC Corporation Full time

JTC utilises geospatial data science and technology in its planning and processes geospatial data from various sources like drawings, surveys, LiDAR, satellite imaging, aerial photography and IoT sensors. This data empowers our users with detailed insights into industrial land and infrastructure.

We are looking for passionate individuals to join the Estate & Technical Support (ETSU) team. You will work with massive submission plans and survey information, translating them into spatial data. You’ll be asked to master data specifications, improve of processes for acquiring, cleaning, translating and loading spatial datasets, transform those datasets into normalized data models, and work with planning teams to ensure continuous quality improvements driven by the best available content.

**Responsibilities**:

- Handle and read submission (CAD/BIM) building plans, infrastructure projects and survey information related to JTC estates, analyse and digitalise the information into GIS databases;
- Ensure GIS dataquality and completeness;
- Evaluate new data sources for quality and attribution to support estate work requirements;
- Perform geospatial engineering tasks such data extraction, cleaning, transforming and preprocessing the data for analysis;
- Prepare plans from GIS databases to support planning decisions;
- Perform spatial queries and use geoprocessing tools;
- Regularly support the review of data and updating processes or changes, adjusting where necessary;
- Work closely with planners, architects, engineers, estate managers and surveyors on estate and land related matters;
**Requirements**:

- Background in Surveying, Built Environment, Planning, Architecture, IT, Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines, preferably with exposure to engineering CAD and GIS.
- 2+ years of experience with mapping or drafting tools. New graduates are welcome to apply;
- A pleasing personality, enjoy team settings and comfortable communicating with people;
- Ability to be meticulous and attention to detail;
- Able to self-organise and have good time management skills;
- The following experiences are advantageous:

- Experience performing spatial operations, advanced queries, and joins in SQL;
- Intermediate to advanced experience working with GIS databases;
- Prior experience with ETL workflows;
- Scripting in Python or equivalent languages;
- Experience with 3D GIS / BIM
