**Direct Search Global is working with a SGX listed Maritime company to fill the role of Senior Accounts Executive (GL) in Singapore. The office location is in the Tuas area.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the timely and precise completion of monthly, quarterly, annual, and statutory financial reports.
- Ensure accurate month-end closing and financial reporting.
- Prepare and finalize monthly and yearly financial statements.
- Manage general ledger accounting schedules, bank reconciliations, and the preparation of journal vouchers.
- Supervise inventory control, identify and report issues, and collaborate with other departments to resolve them.
- Support annual inventory physical counts and the necessary documentation.
- Maintain and monitor the fixed assets register.
- Collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate and complete assigned financial tasks.
- Develop annual financial budgets, analyze monthly variances, and prepare management reports on business performance.
- Prepare and file GST returns.
- Complete various business surveys.
- Collaborate with tax agents to execute and support corporate tax computations, ensuring compliance with all tax filing requirements.
- Liaise with external auditors and assist in the annual statutory audit.
- Assist in preparing annual statutory accounts and coordinate annual return submissions.
- Tackle additional ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Finance, or equivalent professional qualifications (ACCA/CPA).
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in managing full sets of accounts.
- Ideally, 2-3 years of experience with a Big 4 or accounting firm (though not mandatory).
- Strong technical knowledge and experience with tax laws and accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other software (e.g., Hyperion, Cognos).
- Knowledge of SAP systems is a plus.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in reporting.
- Positive attitude, quick problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Independent worker with a proactive approach.
- Effective collaborator with a diverse team, displaying a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and partnership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
