**Position Summary**:
Lumileds is seeking a highly-qualified Engineer to take responsibility for Equipment ownership, ensuring equipment indices like MTBF, MTTR, uptime are met. Work with process and industrial engineers and Manufacturing to address issues pertaining to hardware. Work with vendors on equipment retrofit, upgrades and CIP

**What You Will Do**:

- Equipment owner for PVD (Sputtering or evaporation) tool of Thermal Processing (Furnace or Rapid Thermal Process) tool
- Drive equipment fault investigations and continuous improvement programs to resolve chronic equipment issues, and implement permanent resolutions to assure product quality and enhance process robustness.
- Maintain optimum utilization of equipment and resources, drive MTBF, MTTR and increase equipment throughput.
- Establish equipment maintenance controls, review and perform regular update of PM procedures, Risks Assessments and Troubleshooting guidelines.
- Perform simple modification on PVD (Sputter or Evaporator) or Thermal processing (Furnace or RTP) production equipment to improve machine efficiency and reliability.
- Work with Equipment Supplier for tool retrofit and to resolve equipment issue
- Drive cost reduction to weed out unwarranted expenses/wastages and improve equipment performance.
- Work on projects to establish alternate supplier to reduce cost
- Establish sufficient essential spares and consumables stock levels to support equipment maintenance.
- Lead and guide shift technicians on all equipment maintenance. Provide effective equipment trainings to the technicians to build up their technical competencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. Duties will vary according to the project progress and/or the specific goals of the module.

- Hands-on experience working on PVD (sputter/evaporation) or Thermal Annealing/Diffusion tools is required.
