D&E Department

The D&E team collaborates strongly with Sales, Operations, regional management, and global innovation groups along the way. D&E also works hand in hand with the Construction team to develop and drive a vertically integrated design and engineering solutions offering. We ensure existing standards, regulatory frameworks and designs are managed and executed effectively, across our diverse APAC existing market, plus we support the strategic positioning of Vantage’s successful entry into emerging markets.

Position Description

Vantage is seeking a Director - Technical Services, APAC. This key role sits within our D&E Department and is responsible for leading and driving innovation across our Design and Engineering Technical Services portfolio.

You will demonstrate your Technical leadership and ability to assess and present solutions to complex engineering challenges, and lead our approach to emerging technologies through your active participation in regional and global D&E Technical, Technology and Innovation forums as you actively engage with counterparts in other Vantage development regions; you will be responsible for working in partnership to support our global initiates and integrate these into D&E engineering design solutions in the APAC region.

Equally, as technology rapidly advances in the digital infrastructure sector it is essential for Vantage to leverage innovation, renewable technologies and partnerships to overcome key resourcing constraints to enable us to be adaptive in how we position to deliver our future assets; the need for bespoke self-generation, energy storage solutions or complementary innovations may be driven by geographic specific constraints (such as grid power constraints) where we have the opportunity to be truly innovative in support our key clients sustainability strategies as their trusted delivery partner.

You will:
- Be presented with complex engineering challenges, both to support current Data Centre portfolio delivery but also to strategically support our future positioning and entry into new horizon markets.- Be asked to leverage technical opportunities, and vendor and partner relationships to effect outstanding technical solutions, balanced against a range of key Vantage success criteria, as part of the D&E Group.- Work in a collaborative manner with key partners across our diverse geographic portfolio to effect Technically robust project delivery, addressing the drivers around speed to market, commercial viability, adaptive design approaches, sustainability, resilience, local standards and regulatory frameworks.-
- Provide robust Technical support across MEP & CSA, design management guidance and oversight around projects ranging from due diligence phase though to fully detailed design phases.- Lead our D&E involvement in due diligence activities, working closely with NSD (New Site Development) and SS (Site Selection) to manage our commercial Go/No Go risk gateway, the internal reporting processes and outcomes, and support our roadmap to ‘shovel ready’ project delivery.
