Commissioning Manager

**Commissioning Manager** We are looking out for a **Commissioning Manager**that has robust Data Center Best practice and continuous improvement background (QA/QC preferred), as well as technical background and expertise in delivery of multi-disciplinary CxA services. **Responsibilities**: 1. Conduct monthly project health checks across all ongoing projects to assess these key factors for project success: - Safety performance - Scope of works / deliverables - Technical delivery - Readiness to deliver standardised testing scripts - Financial health - Team training requirements 2. Assist with maintaining and developing a Library that includes: - NV5 internal Cx standard documentation and templates, such as test plans, MOS, scripts, reports, progress trackers. - Client frameworks - End user requirements / SLA - Local/international engineering standards (ANSI, IEC, SS, NETA, BSRIA, etc) Industry standards (Uptime institute, TIA-942, ASHRAE, NEBB, etc) - Cx software guides/playbooks (CxAlloy, Compass/Nexus, Procore, etc) - Project delivery and control software (Aconex, A-Site, Final Cad, BIM360, etc.) 3. Develop and improve our internal Cx documentation standards/templates based on customer and employee feedback. QA/QC experience in a Data Center environment is critical for the delivery of this quality assurance process which contributes to NV5’s Project Quality Plans and procedures. 4. Assist with the development of internal training programs related to commissioning. 5. Develop and maintain a Cx PM playbook that sets the expectations for the "NV5 way" to deliver our projects. This may include: - How we migrate from awarded tender to inflight project - How we setup a project for success - How we talk to clients (and other project stakeholders) - How we report on progress (internal and to clients) - How we measure project success - How we manage the team - How we manage the close out of project defects - How we conduct and document mock-up / first-of-kind equipment inspections - How we safely execute and deliver our Cx services at a project-level 6. Improve the level of T&C delivery by training NV5 CxA team members (CxPMs, CxEs, CxMs, etc.) in QA/QC and PQM systems to improve processes and systems on a project-level. This will require the utilization of quality assurance best practices, quality tools and methodologies to enhance NV5 project teams’ awareness and performance. 7.Stay up to date on Cx industry trends and Cx best practices. Be aware of the latest in Cx certifications (e.g. UTI, TIA, LEED, BCxP) and engineering standards. Produce a quarterly update that would be sent out to all employees with latest updates on changes and industry news. 8. Talk to key clients at least every 6 months on their latest plans regarding commissioning (pipeline of new projects, changes to Cx frameworks/requirements, changes to Cx software) and to gather feedback on our performance and our alignment or adherence to their way of working (i.e. are we meeting their expectations?) 9. Assist NV5 with the delivery of general CxA services to clients on a project-level. This requires: - Capability of providing turnkey Data Center services with key focus on delivering Electrical and Mechanical systems through all stages of Commissioning. - Experience in planning, leading and executing Integrated System Testing (particularly Electrical and Mechanical infrastructure failure scenarios). - Ability to analyse tender and technical documentation, including drawings, technical submissions, equipment datasheet and testing scripts. - Assistance of clients in the evaluation of suppliers and contractors based on tender submissions. - Safety awareness and compliance by understanding client safety requirements, safety processes and safety work practices.
