About the role

What you need to know:
This role will allow you establish relationships with producers and develop a reputation with peers and in the market. You will be managing your own portfolio of accounts and developing business opportunities.
- Underwriting of Liabilities lines in accordance to underwriting authority. These include;
- Worker Injury Compensation
- Public/Products Liability
- Environmental Liability
- Crisis/Recall
- Day to day servicing of existing portfolio - both renewals and new business
- Manage referrals to management to support underwriting decisions and actions
- Prioritize workload to achieve internal and external deadlines
- Striving to meet profit center and personal new business budget targets
- Develop and maintain relationships with Agent and Broker producers
- Identify business opportunities and convert ideas to reality through product development and enhancement
- Work with other Departments across AIG to achieve corporate objectives
- Build on the Company profile in the market
- Proactively keep up to date with industry and business issues

What we are looking for:

- Diploma / Degree with General Insurance experience
- Broad knowledge of the insurance industry
- Desire to develop and foster relationships both within the company and with producers
- Ability to analyze data to make accurate assessment of risk
- Self-motivated and able to use initiative to resolve issues
- Capabilities to maintain a flexible approach in a changing work environment
- Analytical individual with strong business acumen
- Strong negotiation skills
- Good team player with excellent interpersonal skill
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
