**Your role**

You are a member of the Property & Casualty team based in Singapore. You will be responsible for marketing and underwriting of Casualty Facultative business, soliciting new business opportunities, and handling renewal accounts, developing and maintaining strong relationships with direct cedants and brokers.

**Your key responsibilities**
- Responsible for marketing and underwriting of Casualty Facultative business, soliciting new business opportunities, and handling renewal accounts in line with our underwriting philosophy, appetite and guidelines
- Responsible for analyzing and documenting risk exposures and coverages and assessing the technical insurability and profitability of new and renewal submissions
- Underwriting analysis, pricing, structuring, and negotiating facultative individual risk
- Maintaining underwriting discipline with a sound understanding of the cause-effect relationship of underwriting decisions and their impact on business
- Operate comfortably in a regional team environment where underwriting risk referrals and business case discussions are routine

**Your profile**
- Degree qualified with at least 3 to 5 years of prior work experience in insurance or reinsurance companies
- Proven track record of successful underwriting in General Liability/Financial lines of business
- Strong knowledge of the mechanics and culture of the insurance markets in Southeast Asia and Japan
- Strong technical underwriting background with customer focus mindset
- Knowledge of a second Asian language advantageous
- Self-starter with strong numerical, research and analytical skills
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Strong team player
- Willingness to travel for business
