As a Strategic Procurement Specialist Packaging based in APAC, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

- Procurement Sub-Category Leadership: Initiates and designs plans to implement APAC/Global procurement solutions that will achieve measurable business results. Assembles and leads multiple project teams to implement procurement solutions. Establishes close working relationship with business unit management and suppliers on procurement strategies and activities. Manages external suppliers to deliver improved benefits to 3M in areas such as Cost, Cash and Contracts. Researches and understands the short and long term market outlook for assigned raw materials and feed stocks. Performs complex contract negotiations. Proactively communicates project direction and status with key business unit management. Negotiates to resolve issues, implement strategies and ensure client satisfaction.
- Sourcing Analysis and Design: Determines and implements solutions for multi-faceted situations regarding distribution of business, negotiation or category strategy, supplier management, and external sources of supply. Develops cause and effect analysis and documentation. Develops and recommends tactical and strategic solutions to business unit clients and management.
- Sourcing Process Improvement: Identifies and implements opportunities for process improvements that improve service, speed or cost, through analysis of sourcing information and metrics. Minimizes the total product and process cost by leading cost reduction efforts and facilitation implementation of innovative sourcing best practices. Recognizes impacts on related processes and ensures communication of issues and proposed solutions to appropriate business and process owners.

Skills and Expertise:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- 3-5 years’ experience in procurement for different spend categories, ideally gained in Packaging.
- Ability to formulate, recommend and implement procurement strategies and align with stakeholders.
- Track record of managing complex portfolio in a multi-cultural matrix organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Korean is an advantage.(written and verbal)
- Travel requirement: 10-15% of time
