**Job Summary**:
Product Development team is stationed at R&D site and responsible for productization activities including kit prototyping, validation and verification, product improvement and technology transfer. The Research Officers in this team will be reporting to either Research Scientist or Director of Product Development. Part of the validation activities will be conducted at MiRXES Manufacturing site due to ISO 13485 requirement.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Conduct verification and validation activities of Molecular Diagnostic (MDx) assays for both RUO and IVD products.
- Conduct experiment to improve existing products according to market input.
- Develop and qualify assays that will be transferred to Quality Control group or used for regulatory filing.
- Author and review test protocols, reports and other controlled documentation.
- Work closely with other Scientists, Engineers and Commercial personnel to provide scientific inputs related to company products
- Perform technical training and technology transfer of assays for operational staffs across laboratories and sites.
- Validate procedures for instrument testing, quality control and generate final reports.
- Maintain and fulfil the Design History Files record upkeeping and Design Control requirement.
- Inventory maintenance and procurement of routine laboratory consumables and reagents.
- Provide support for compliance of health and safety policies

**Desired Skills and Competencies**:

- Degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in RT-qPCR and molecular biology research, understanding of Diagnostics Products prototyping and analytical validation is good to have.
- Working experience in ISO13485 regulated environment is desired.
- Good interpersonal skills for communication and interaction with cross-functional team members.
- Organizational, planning and detailed follow-up skills.
- Be a ‘hands-on’ person who welcomes challenges, works independently or as part of a team, and can communicate effectively at all levels.
