**Purpose of Position**

The Procurement Manager is in charge Procure best possible FCL & LCL Sea freight rates, including local transportation and other charges closely linked to the ocean transport, carriers capacity and service agreements. Execute Corporate & Regional matters related to Sea Freight Procurement/Product Standard & Governance.

**Key Tasks**

Procurement Strategy
- Define and execute against Procurement Strategy
- Full compliance with Corporate Carriers and Procurement Policy to support the Product Strategy
- Source and attend to rates request/RFQs from Commercial / Tender / Network offices / Operation team pertaining to Ocean Freight / Transportation / other Ocean related services.
- Rates negotiation, maintenance and distribution to relevant parties.
- Conduct quarterly performance review meetings with vendors

Carrier and Subcontractor Selection and Contracting
- Negotiate master conditions and ensure best possible ocean rates including charges closely linked to the ocean transport, capacity and service agreements and related incentives
- Develop and maintain contract standards
- Ensure that capacity agreements are maintained in the respective systems
- Provide pricing support to Regional Product organizations

Management of Buying Rates
- Provide input to Regional Tradelane Management on local buying rates, consolidation opportunities, and capacity constraints
- Create and maintain buying rate visibility by implementing rate database with company standard

General Management
- Lead people, including hiring and retaining talent, directing reports, defining KPI’s and monitoring performance
- Control/monitor adherence of procurement to globally agreed procurement standards
- Delivering a high performing service culture
- Keep abreast of industry changes, market situation and customer requirements; update all respective working colleagues within the geographical region on the changes of market condition
- Establish and maintain a working rapport with Country management / Commerical / Operation by providing expertise and education in capacity, pricing and product management
- Constantly drive continuous improvement efforts within area of responsibility (e.g. collaboration, system, processes)

Allocation Management
- Coordinate and guide Ocean Freight FCL Allocation activities
- Create visibility on available and used allocation as well as regular cargo flows
- Establish and update weekly allocation plan
- Actively monitor and manage Revenue and Yield
- Maintain a customer/carrier priority system to ensure regular and strategic business is protected through periods of capacity shortage
- Re-adjust existing allocation to accounts for lost and gained business

Additional to above tasks
- Any other job-related tasks as assigned by the superior.
- Adherence to the Code of Conduct policy of the DSV Group

**Competencies**
- Market and industry knowledge in Sea Freight
- Good Network and rapport with local carriers and vendors
- Business acumen
- Advanced in Microsoft Office and Microsoft dynamic 365
- Knowledge in SAP and CW1 is preferred

**Experience & Education**

Tertiary Education preferred.

Good knowledge of:

- Regulatory aspects
- Subcontractor management
- Freight forwarding operations
- Overall understanding of business processes and interdependencies
- Knowledge of local processes, conditions, standards and regulations
- Business Administration

Profound knowledge of:

- The Sea Freight & Logistics industry, preferably 5 to 7 years
- Trends and opportunities
- Evaluation and negotiation processes, especially concerning service contracts and incentive programs
- Sea Freight procurement
