Key Responsibilities:

- Finance: Keep track of expenditure and remaining budget in an organized manner, ensure that spending is optimized and on track with respect to goals set for the grant; prepare financial and progress reports, presentations, as well as other research-related documents
- Basic research: conduct literature reviews pertaining to film studies, cultural theory and ecocriticism
- Data collection: assist in the identification of relevant motion pictures and similar cultural products for the purposes of the research project
- Data analysis: analyse and discuss the cultural, ideological and aesthetic dimensions of contemporary popular filmmaking

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in film and media studies or related fields
- Good IT skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint and a video editing software such as Adobe Premier Pro
- Good academic writing skills
- A good team player with effective communication skills and the ability to work closely with faculty, staff, students and external collaborators
