What You Will Achieve
As a member of the Pfizer Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and Chemical Operations team, you will work with others to be accountable for activities involved in the production of many of Pfizer's products. In your work, you will help to determine the manufacturing methods, procedures and tooling requirements for products and well as designing the tools and planning production sequences in accordance with continuous improvement, Six Sigma, Lean and other Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP). Your work will help Pfizer in its mission to focus on innovation, creativity and respect for patients, colleagues and society.
As a Senior Manager, you will be setting the objectives for multiple projects in your division. Your managerial and technical skills will help in guiding the people in your division. Your understanding of the external marketplace and customer requirements will facilitate in instituting knowledge sharing practices in your team and outside. You shall be relied on to manage operational activities that support the goals of the division and sets direction for its success.

How You Will Achieve It- Set objectives for and manage multiple projects/ ongoing work activities of moderate complexity within the Operating Unit.- Lead, direct and coach the operations and changeover teams in manufacturing Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), including developing and communicating objectives, setting priorities, development plans and managing performance.- Participate and contribute to the design of the plant equipment, water system, tank farm, utilities and waste management.- Participate and contribute to changeover cleaning equipment layout and provide cleanability input to the design of the plant equipment.- Ensure that the systems are in a constant state of regulatory compliance and inspection readiness.- Conduct statistical analyses of testing results and process anomalies.- Write documentation for new and current validation procedures and technical reports.- Develop and assure compliance for in-process laboratories including equipment qualification and method transfer.- Develop and execute the plan for API Equipment Qualification and periodic review.- Lead, direct and coach the team, including developing and communicating objectives, setting priorities, development plans and conducting performance reviews.- Drive continuous improvements for operations and changeover.
**Qualifications**:
Must-Have- Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of experience.- People management experience.- Demonstrated skills in planning, organization, working in matrix teams and managing project deliverables.- Proven project management skills, with demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time and work with a high degree of autonomy.- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
Nice-to-Have- Master’s degree and relevant pharmaceutical experience.- Experience in handling external regulatory agency audits.- Experience working with complex organizations.- Experience with Operational Excellence techniques (Six Sigma, etc.).
Work Location Assignment: On Premise
