General Manager

**Job Overview**:
The General Manager will lead and oversee the entire operations of a technology-based curtain wall company, ensuring the achievement of both short-term and long-term business objectives. The role requires a strategic leader with strong experience in the construction and façade industry, particularly in curtain wall technology, and proven expertise in managing complex projects, teams, and partnerships. The General Manager will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, expanding market share, and fostering innovation within the company’s product and service offerings.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Strategic Leadership & Business Development**:Develop and implement business strategies to drive the growth of the curtain wall business, focusing on innovation, customer acquisition, and market expansion.
Lead market research efforts to identify new business opportunities, technology trends, and partnerships that align with the company's strategic objectives.
Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, architects, developers, and suppliers, to promote the company’s capabilities and increase market share.
- **Operational Management**:Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency in project execution, resource allocation, production processes, and technological integration.
Ensure that all projects meet quality standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints, particularly regarding curtain wall system design, installation, and maintenance.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, R&D, project management, and sales to ensure seamless project delivery and innovation in curtain wall solutions.
- **Financial Performance**:Develop and manage the company’s budget, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness of operations.
Analyze financial reports and performance data, providing insights and recommendations for improving overall business performance.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, and lead efforts to secure funding or investment for business expansion.
- **Team Leadership & Development**:Build and lead a high-performing team, ensuring clear communication, professional development, and a culture of innovation and excellence.
Set performance targets for departments and monitor progress, addressing any issues that may impact the achievement of company goals.
Foster a positive and collaborative working environment that promotes employee engagement and retention.
- **Quality & Safety Management**:Ensure that all operations adhere to industry standards for quality, safety, and environmental sustainability.
Oversee the implementation of advanced technology and automation within curtain wall systems to enhance product performance and sustainability.
Maintain strong knowledge of global industry standards and regulations, ensuring compliance and adaptation to changing guidelines.
- **Client & Project Management**:Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact for resolving issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of large-scale curtain wall projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Handle negotiations with contractors, suppliers, and partners to secure favorable terms and manage project risks.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- More than 10 years of experience in the construction or façade industry, with a strong focus on curtain wall systems, including experience in project management and technology integration.
- Proven track record of leading and growing a company or business unit, with experience in managing teams and budgets.
- In-depth understanding of curtain wall technologies, materials, and installation processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with advanced technologies (e.g., BIM, automation, energy-efficient façades) is a plus.
- Knowledge of global building codes, regulations, and safety standards related to curtain wall systems.
