OMERS Capital Markets is building out its Asia-Pacific investment capability out of the OMERS Singapore office. OMERS Capital Markets invests in both developed and developing markets of Asia and across the entire capital structure, with a primary focus in public markets. We will also invest in private markets and partner and co-invest with third party fund managers.

As a member of the Capital Markets Asia Pacific team, reporting to the Managing Director, Capital Markets Asia Pacific, the Analyst will support members of the investment team in achieving OMERS investment objective of delivering absolute return performance by investing across equity and fixed income securities in public and private markets. While Singapore will be the home base for this position, the person will have opportunities to collaborate with Capital Markets teams in Toronto, New York and London, as well as supporting senior members involved in transaction execution involving other OMERS teams working on real estate, infrastructure & private equity opportunities.

**As an Analyst, you will**
- Implement the OMERS Capital Markets investment process focused on long term investment results
- Conduct comprehensive industry and company research and analysis
- Develop financial models and perform valuation analysis
- Document and present research findings to the team
- Actively participate and share ideas & views in research meetings
- Build and maintain screening tools to identify investment opportunities
- Monitor holdings held by the investment program
- Enhance and support existing automation, data visualization, and collaboration efforts of investment related processes
- Collaborate with OMERS investment teams and offices globally and help institutionalize knowledge

**Qualifications**
- University degree in economics, business, quantitative or computer science related discipline
- Chartered Financial Analyst or committed to completing the program
- Interest and knowledge and/or some experience in investment / financial analysis experience in the Asia Pacific region
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, knowledge of programming languages - Python, BQL
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin
- Action-oriented and proactive with a high degree of initiative
- Effective team player with a collaborative attitude
- Impeccable integrity
