Director, Policy and Public Affairs

ROLE SUMMARY

The Director of Policy and Public Affairs (PPA) will be responsible for developing and implementing policy and public affairs strategies to help advance company objectives in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. This Director role will work closely with our executive team, government officials, industry stakeholders to effectively communicate Pfizer’s value and contribute to the healthcare ecosystem shaping.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement effective policy and public affairs strategies that align with our company's goals and objectives in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
- Monitor and analyze policy and regulatory developments across the region and provide timely insights and recommendations to our executive team on key policy issues that may impact our business.
- Build and maintain professional networks with government officials, industry stakeholders, and other key partners across the region to inform and advance policies that develop the healthcare ecosystem, improve patient access to Pfizer innovative medicine, and support the growth of life science development.
- Represent our company in various industry associations, public forums, and other relevant platforms, and promote our company's interests through effective communication and engagement.
- Manage a team of policy and public affairs professionals to support our company's advocacy efforts in these markets.
- Collaborate with our internal teams, including legal, compliance, regulation, medical, communications and media relations, market access, and commercial operation to ensure alignment and coordination on policy and public affairs matters.
- Collaborate with Country Manager, communication, and media relations team to effectively communicate Pfizer values and enhance corporate brand reputation.
- Work closely with market access team to plan, develop and implement Corporate Social Responsibility programs; and support the implementation of Patient Assistance Programs.
- Serve as a contact person for the regional and global communication on regular basis
- Always work with a high degree of integrity, be highly adherent to law and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree required. Advanced Degree in health/public policy, political science, and/or law strongly preferred
- Must have a minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in public policy, government relations, public affairs
- Experience in healthcare and/or pharmaceutical industry is preferred
- Based in Singapore.

Technical skills requirements
- Strong knowledge of political and regulatory landscape in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, as well as key policy issues that impact our industry.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful policy and public affairs strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional networks with key stakeholders and partners.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of policy and public affairs professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to achieve our company's goals and objectives.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and critically about policy issues.
