**What you will be working on**
- 1. You will be leading a team that drives long-term strategies for the energy sector and developing internal plans to achieve them. In this role, you will have a front row seat in navigating Singapore's Energy Transition, which will be a major, long-term endeavour. The scope of work includes: - Leading a team to develop EMA's strategic policies and drive new initiatives to advance our strategic goals of forging an energy system that is secure, cost-effective, environmentally sustainable and dynamic;
- Lead the development of EMA's strategic policy directions and the key principles and framework underpinning EMA's wider policy-making;
- Ensure policy coherence and alignment, assess interlinkages and interdependencies across policies;
- Drive policy innovation and thought-leadership to develop new policies or adapt our existing regulations for a rapidly changing operating environment;
- Chart out decarbonisation policies for the power sector to meet Singapore's climate change goals. As a team leader, you will be responsible for: - Providing guidance to the development of policies to ensure that they are coherent and well-articulated;
- Managing the overall performance of the branch. This includes planning work processes, allocating resources and monitoring implementation to fulfil the branch's goals efficiently and effectively;
- Coaching and motivating the staff, and developing the team's capabilities in policy development. You will also be expected to communicate the key considerations for new policy initiatives clearly and convincingly to different stakeholders, both internal and external. This involves the ability to communicate complex and technical issues in a manner that is easily understood by the audience.
